HIMSA Product Data standard: HIMSA publishes a data standard that hearing instrument manufacturers can use to create product data catalogs. Different systems can then read the catalog data for different supported methods.

Main Updates:

• Introduction of the OrderDetails structure

• Introduction of the QuantityDetails structure

• Introduction of “Scope of Use”

• ApproximateColor is now optional

• Transitioning to a Flattened XSD structure

The Noah software system does not utilize this standard directly nor does Noah facilitate the distribution of catalog data.

The distribution of catalog data is handled directly by a hearing instrument manufacturer. Each manufacturer will determine when catalogs are available and for which locals are supported.
