Internet-enabled Noah System 4 - early access now available for Noah User Group Members

In 2018 HIMSA conducted a survey with the Noah User Group (NUG) members to determine the interest level in utilizing internet technologies with Noah System.  The results of that survey indicated a very good amount of interest.  Based on this interest HIMSA began a project to incorporate internet technologies into Noah System 4.  As a NUG member, HIMSA would like you to have the opportunity to begin using these features.  The overall feature provides your business with the opportunity to have your Noah Sever and Noah System data hosted in a professionally maintained data center.

Your daily workflow will remain the same, you will still use the Noah System software on your computer just like you do today. The major difference with this service is to alleviate the hassles of properly managing a patient database and providing easier networking.

Hosting your Noah Server and Database provides the following benefits:

  • No need to purchase and maintain a computer to act as the Noah Server

  • Your database will be backed up daily and be physically protected from natural disasters and physical theft.

  • Your Noah System software will have access to your Noah patient data 24X7.

  • Your Noah Server system will be monitored for health once per minute

  • Networking inside your office and/or between all of your offices would be greatly simplified; no need for setting up specialized networking support (e.g. complicated VPN setups).  The network connection between your Noah System Client computers will be secured via TLS 1.2 with public key certificate.

  • Easy to stay connected to your Noah System database while visiting patients outside of the office.

  • Your patient data remains your company’s patient data; HIMSA will not view, copy, or use the data.  HIMSA member companies not have any special access to data outside of the normal access that current Noah compatible modules and Apps have today.

  • The provided features would be compliant with security mandates (e.g. HIPAA and GDPR)

  • The Noah server software will always be automatically up to date with the latest version



Is There a Cost?

The system will be provided to your business at no cost for 3 months.  After 3 months, the estimated monthly fee will be based on the number of users using Noah System.

The fee structure covers all services

Users are defined as individual named accounts setup within Noah System, they are not concurrent users.  For example, if your business has 5 hearing care professionals that work in 3 different offices, you would need the base package and 2 additional users.
