Q. How can HIMSA ensure that I have a trouble-free connection to my Noah Server?

A. HIMSA has done months of testing with Noah as a Service. We have stressed the setup with large numbers of connected clients, very large databases, a variety of connection speeds and qualities. Noah as a Service as has excelled in HIMSA testing. We expect you to have a an excellent experience as well.  Based on experience working with traditional Noah System in a network setup, error errors that may occur if there is a loss of connection to the database include:

Trying to login to Noah and receive error 50138

Working in Noah and get error 50108

Working in Noah and get error 'lost connection to server'

If your Noah as a Service server is unable to start or open, try some quick troubleshooting on the Noah machine that will not launch.

  • Verify that the profile is pointed to the Noah as a Server machine, not to a local database.
  • Is the internet working?

  • Can you ping the Noah as a Service server machine and get a reply?
    • To PING, open a command prompt by typing cmd at Run
    • Type PING and the name of your Noah as a Service server, for example:  ping exampleus.noah4.com
    • If all is working as expected you will see four replies
